LLC was established in 2010 by
Scott Manley as a commercialization engine for technology and
technology
platforms. Scott became passionate about seeking out
inventions
from research universities, government labs, commercial institutions,
and individuals that are strong candidates for marketable solutions in
2009. After over a year of searching, he came
across RonJohnŽ;
a green solvent developed by Y12 as a coating and
adhesive remover. In 2011, TEKNIKEM was established as the chemical arm of RockinBoat to bring RonJohnŽ to market .
Prior to establishing RockinBoat, Scott utilized his more than 20 years of manufacturing and business experience to assist and advise companies through his consulting firm, Leap Ahead LLC. Consulting areas of expertise include strategic planning, organizational development, ISO/TS implementation, and process improvement. Scott is also an active Rotarian and a Principal of the Entrepreneur Forum - a member lead organization for the promotion of business start-ups and growth. |
